Start time was scheduled for the open field at 6:15 AM, but due to delay in clearing roads, the start was slightly delayed. #MiamiFamous In this video you will see Miami Beach Firefighter Claudio Navas wearing his full firefighter uniform and an oxygen tank . He ran the half marathon in honor of a fellow fallen firefighter. He carried this extra 75 lbs for 13.1 miles. The 7 Mile Bridge Race took place on April 18, 2015, starting in Marathon, Florida at mile market 49 and ended on the other side of the bridge at mile marker 40. This is a half hour documentary for posting on the City of Marathon's website and for airing on Marathon Florida TV, Comcast Channel 88 throughout The Florida keys.
